Depression and Overwhelm

While the goal we all usually have is to age gracefully, that is not always the case. We often encounter the unanticipated or "curveballs" and our day-to-day juggling act becomes more complicated. It can be something very simple that begins to overwhelm us, but it is at these times that it is important to recognize what we can and cannot control. Then we need to prioritize what is most important so we do not become overwhelmed and/or immobilized. Much of this is easier said than done, as our emotions can often get the best of us. Oftentimes, seeking out counseling is the best thing we can do for ourselves.
